Client AI Hardware Research Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented intern to join our Client AI Hardware Research team. You will be working on cutting-edge research in the field of AI hardware, specifically focusing on the design and optimization of AI accelerators for client devices.

Responsibilities:

Develop and evaluate AI hardware architectures for client devices. This includes exploring new architectures, implementing designs in simulation and hardware, and benchmarking performance.
Research and implement novel algorithms for AI acceleration. This includes exploring new hardware-aware algorithms, optimizing existing algorithms for specific hardware architectures, and evaluating performance and efficiency.
Collaborate with other researchers and engineers within the team. This includes sharing ideas, discussing results, and contributing to the overall direction of the research.
Develop documentation and presentations to communicate research findings to a wider audience.

Currently pursuings:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong understanding of digital design principles and experience with hardware description languages (Verilog/VHDL).
Experience with AI hardware architectures and accelerators.
Familiarity with AI frameworks and libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Experience with computer architecture and performance analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Currently pursuings:

Experience with FPGA development and prototyping.
Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and their implementation.
Experience with computer vision and natural language processing applications.
Experience with research methodologies and publication.

This is a part-time internship opportunity that can be performed remotely within the United States.
