Job Description
Federated Insurance is seeking a full-time Claims Intern to work in their North Richland Hills, TX office for about 10 weeks. The first two weeks of the internship will involve training at the Home Office in Owatonna, MN. This is a paid internship.
As a Claims Intern, you will:
• Support Claims personnel in Auto, Liability, Property, and Workers’ Compensation offices with telephone coverage and correspondence.
• Facilitate client interactions regarding claim processing, as directed.
• Collaborate with and inform supervisors and teammates about progress and issues.
• Help Federated clients by working alongside other interns and recent graduates.
• Participate in office and team meetings and trainings.
• Complete a presentation outlining the internship experience for P&C Claims leadership.
The internship provides an opportunity to learn claims processes and procedures, develop skills in teamwork, customer service, communication, multi-tasking, and decision-making. You will also have the chance to participate in office events and community volunteering.
