Civil or Environmental Engineering Intern | Tetra Tech

The Tone:
This is an internship at Tetra Tech, located in Orlando, Estero, Tampa, or Miami, Florida. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: Orlando, Estero, Tampa, or Miami, FL (In-person)
• Mission: Support diverse civil infrastructure projects across federal, municipal, commercial, and private clients, working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.
• Tech Stack: AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research Support: Conduct research related to engineering standards, policies, and best practices.
• Engineering Analysis: Support engineering calculations for planning and design tasks, including hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.
• Document Preparation: Assist in preparing engineering reports, technical memoranda, and other project documentation.
• Visual Communication: Help develop charts, figures, maps, and tables for technical reports and presentations.
• Design Support: Support the preparation of construction drawings and technical specifications.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (Early Career).
• Experience: Basic experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Skills: Strong communication skills and an interest in learning in a team-oriented environment; coursework related to civil infrastructure, water resources, or environmental engineering is preferred.
• Bonus: Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design software.
