Internship Overview
Internship positions at Lochner provide college students with a invaluable opportunity to gain real-world experience in a specific area of study within civil engineering. Working in a fast-paced professional setting, interns will apply knowledge and skills learned through their education in a business environment, working with and in support of experienced professionals in their chosen field.
Your Impact & Key Responsibilities
- Perform essential engineering design tasks, specifically focusing on roadway and bridge design.
- Work under the direct guidance and supervision of an experienced Project Manager.
- Effectively manage and maintain crucial project documentation.
Who You Are (Qualifications)
- Currently pursuing or hold a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering.
- Possess 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Committed to obtaining an EIT certification (Engineer-in-Training) within 6 months from the date of potential full-time hire.
- Open to interning during the Summer 2026.

Work Environment
The work environment at Lochner may expose employees to specific conditions. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
