This is a job description for an entry-level position suitable for a student or recent graduate in Civil Engineering or a related field. It emphasizes assistance and support roles within a project team.
Primary Function:
Under general supervision, the individual will perform assignments of limited scope, applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to complete a sequence of related tasks. This role involves utilizing computer software packages and automated engineering and design tools, with limited prior experience required.
Primary Duties:
The primary duties of this role are focused on assisting senior engineers and project teams and include:
• Assisting with preparing plan details and outlines.
• Assisting with material quantity take-off, and contacting vendors to obtain budgetary quotes in developing construction cost for projects.
• Assisting in the preparation of technical specifications.
• Reviewing design drawings within defined limits.
• Assisting with preparing technical memorandum or sections.
• Performing field tests & measurements, collecting field data, and processing data.
• Providing miscellaneous task assignments to support the project team.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Previously participated in Ardurra’s intern program.
• Minimal years of experience required.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Team-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work with a team of professionals and independently.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Bluebeam.
