Job Description:
The City of Overland Park is seeking a part-time Child Watch Attendant to supervise children while their parents participate in on-site recreation activities or classes at the Community Center. The role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of children aged 1 to 10 years, with a focus on toddlers and preschool-aged children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Check-in/Check-out: Manage the check-in and check-out process for children.
• Supervision: Supervise children and enforce rules to maintain a safe environment.
• Engagement and Activities: Engage and conduct activities with children to provide a positive play atmosphere.
• Software Operation: Operate software programs for all transactions related to child watch services.
• Environment Creation: Create a playful and safe environment for children.
• Fee Collection: Collect program fees as needed.
• Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties and organize toys to maintain a clean and orderly space.
Requirements:
• Minimum 18 years of age
• 1 year of experience in childcare watch preferred

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to make and receive phone calls.

Additional Information:
• Part-time position with variable hours.
• Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.

• Successful candidates must pass a background check, drug screen, physical exam, and essential functions test.
• No City residency requirement.
