Child Support Caseworker | State of Utah

• Mission: Provide child support services and support for children in care to help ensure parents are financially responsible for their children.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Caseload Management: Receive extensive training to learn the legal process of establishing paternity and child support orders, and/or enforcing existing orders.
• Financial Enforcement: Verify and correct balances owed, determining appropriate legal action including garnishment or liens.
• Legal Preparation: Prepare accurate documentation in support of cases presented in court hearings.
• Investigative Research: Conduct thorough research to gather evidence, analyze facts, and apply knowledge of the Office of Recovery Services’ rules, regulations, and policies.
• Payment Negotiation: Effectively contact individuals or organizations to secure delinquent payments and arrange payment plans for money owed.
