Job Description
Job Title: Characterization/Test Engineer Intern
Job Focus: This role is centered on at-speed characterization and testing of high-performance analog-to-digital (ADC) and digital-to-analog (DAC) converters, as well as ultra-low power sensor interface circuits.
Key Responsibilities:
• Development of characterization/test plans.
• Design of characterization PCB boards.
• Assembly and debug of characterization boards.
• Developing, maintaining, and modifying programs for automated test interface between the characterization board and lab equipment.
• Ability to modify and update automated characterization plans based on inputs from designers.
• Ability to develop automated test/characterization plans (a strong plus).
• Must be able to develop characterization plans based on inputs from designers and customers.
• Must be able to capture, analyze, and present characterization data using Excel.
• Must be able to work with external vendors to procure components and schedule deliverables to meet planned characterization timelines.
• Must be able to work independently, create, and adhere to schedules.
Qualifications:
• Experience with integrated circuits.
• Familiarity with common programming languages such as MATLAB, Visual C#, and Python.
• Familiarity with the use of standard lab characterization equipment.
• Understanding of PCB design techniques for high-speed and high-performance designs (e.g., Analog to Digital and Digital to Analog converters).
• Familiarity with PCB power supply decoupling techniques, shielding, and design of controlled impedance traces.
