Description:

This is a 3-month summer internship for a graduate student in the Ansys Student Internship Program. You will be part of the Ansys Customer Excellence team focused on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).

Key Responsibilities:

Create new simulation methodologies: Develop innovative ways to use Ansys software to solve real-world engineering problems.
Troubleshoot problem set-ups: Identify and resolve issues with simulation setups.
Run simulation benchmarks: Test and validate the performance of Ansys software on various problems.
Update industry best practices: Contribute to the development of best practices for using Ansys software in specific applications.
Update Ansys training course material: Help to improve the quality of Ansys training materials.
Create technical marketing content: Develop content for marketing purposes, such as white papers, case studies, and presentations.
Perform literature search: Research relevant publications using Ansys or competitive products, as well as experimental data.
Write detailed technical reports: Document your findings and present results to Ansys teams.
Network within the Ansys Customer Excellence team: Learn about different job functions within the team, such as presales support, post sales technical support, and consulting services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Mechanical engineering or other technical discipline.
• Currently enrolled as a graduate student (M.S. or Ph.D.) in an accredited United States university.
• Minimum 3.3 GPA.
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship by Ansys.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and time management skills.
• Demonstrated skills in writing, understanding, and presenting in fluent English.
Hands-on experience with a commercial CFD product such as Ansys Fluent.
• Fundamental knowledge of turbulent reacting flow.

Preferred Currently pursuings:

• Knowledge of computer languages – C/C++, Python, Java.
• Knowledge of CAD packages such as SolidWorks, NX, Catia.
• Knowledge of Linux OS and general understanding of IT hardware and systems.
• Experience with combustion and spray modeling is a plus.
