This job description is for a Catering Intern position at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The pay range is $12.00 to $15.00.
The intern will coordinate catering staff schedules to ensure all functions are delivered, served and cleared in a timely fashion. They will also prepare and serve food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the Catering Director. The intern may also drive a truck to deliver food and beverages to catered functions.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
– Determining workload requirements from catering orders.
– Meeting with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements; addressing last-minute changes and resolving problems.
– Interacting with customers and resolving complaints in a service-oriented manner.
– Demonstrating complete understanding of menu items.
– Instructing staff on work expectations for catered functions.
– Helping staff set up rooms to desired specifications.
– Assembling and delivering food and supplies to scheduled locations.
– Serving food and beverages to guests.
– Returning food, beverages, serving equipment and utensils to catering facility.
– Ensuring proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; following HACCP standards.
– Maintaining sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils.
– Ensuring proper food preparation by following approved recipes and production standards.
– Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
– A valid driver’s license may be required.
– Must possess or able to obtain a valid food handler’s permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.
