What You’ll Do: Category Management Intern

As a Category Management Intern at Xometry, you will be at the forefront of driving our category strategy. This role involves providing critical analysis and engaging in cross-functional collaboration related to our extensive partner network. You will thrive in an environment that actively encourages an entrepreneurial spirit and provides hands-on experience across various functional areas. Your key responsibilities will include:

Support Category Strategy: Assist category managers with crucial supplier research, detailed pricing analysis, and continuous performance tracking to optimize Xometry’s diverse manufacturing categories.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct in-depth analysis of spend, capacity, and performance data. Your insights will directly support strategic decision-making and help identify significant opportunities for improvements in cost-efficiency, quality, and lead-time.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with our supply chain, engineering, and operations teams. You will play a vital role in supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, documentation efforts, and continuous improvement projects.

What We’re Looking For:

Academic Excellence: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, with an anticipated graduation date in December 2026 or May 2027. A minimum 3.5 GPA is required.
Strong Work Ethic: Ability to commit to working full-time (40 hours/week) during the entire internship period, from June 8 – August 14, 2026.
Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: A genuine passion for problem-solving and a strong desire to drive results.
Legal Authorization: Ability to provide proof of legal right to work in the United States.
Location Requirement: Ability to commute to our Lexington, KY or North Bethesda, MD office to work onsite for at least 3 days a week.
