Capital Markets COO – Corporate FX Business Manager | Marex

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Marex, located in London. Marex builds a robust Capital Markets business, specializing in Corporate FX and Payments solutions. This role is crucial for driving the strategic growth, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance of the Capital Markets platform, specifically leading product and commercial aspects for Corporate FX. The position demands a hands-on approach, balancing project execution with day-to-day business management in a dynamic environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Strategy: Support the Capital Markets COO and senior business heads in the day-to-day management and strategic development of the Capital Markets business.
• Product Leadership: Act as the Product/Commercial Lead for the Corporate FX & Private Markets FX business, strategically directing business requirements and technology priorities.
• Project Delivery: Drive and coordinate key business initiatives and large-scale change across Capital Markets, from initial concept through to delivery and implementation.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a central point of coordination across Front Office, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Finance.
• Client Experience & Workflow: Champion client experience across digital channels and support new product, market, and workflow assessments for efficiency and control.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level professional with demonstrable experience in financial services or a similarly complex, regulated environment.
• Experience: Proven track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional business initiatives from concept through to implementation, within a Product, COO, Business Management, Chief of Staff, Strategy / Execution, Commercial Management or Programme Delivery role.
• Skills: Strong stakeholder management, ability to coordinate delivery across multiple functions, robust organizational and execution capabilities, understanding of key financial regulations (e.g., MiFID II, Payment Service Regulations), excellent written and verbal communication.
• Bonus: Exposure to Capital Markets, specifically Corporate FX & Payments asset classes; familiarity with OTC FX, payments workflows, collateralized and uncollateralized trading arrangements, and FX product knowledge (Spot, Forwards, NDFs, Options, structured products).
