The TL;DR

• Team: Functions under close and direct supervision, working collaboratively with a dedicated project team.
• Mission: Provide essential routine support for construction and administration functions, gaining practical experience while contributing to company objectives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Monitoring: Work closely with the project team to meticulously monitor crucial project elements such as crew size, self-perform hours, material usage, quantity tracking, and equipment deployment on site.
• Reporting: Regularly compile and provide comprehensive progress updates and detailed reports to the project team, ensuring transparency and timely communication on project status.
• Site Observation: Conduct insightful job site observations alongside experienced project leadership, gaining firsthand understanding of construction processes and site management practices.
• Project Closeout: Actively support various critical activities involved in the successful closeout of projects, including the finalization of punchlists, preparation of operations and maintenance manuals, and compilation of as-built drawings.
• Vendor Coordination: Assist in the vital process of vendor and trade partner coordination, including the solicitation of pricing and bids, to ensure efficient procurement and smooth project execution.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s Degree program or higher is required, with coursework directly related to the specific area of the internship opportunity, indicating a foundational academic understanding.
• Experience: Not applicable, as this role is designed for individuals seeking their initial hands-on experience in the construction industry.
• Skills: Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing project needs, possess high energy levels for demanding environments, show leadership potential, exhibit a strong work ethic, and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines is also critical.
