Overview

Kimley-Horn is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Drafter Intern to join our team in the Saint Paul, Minnesota office. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in generating site plans and construction drawings, primarily for transportation and roadway projects.

Responsibilities

• Utilize basic computer drafting software to produce accurate site plans and construction drawings for transportation/roadway projects.
• Learn and become proficient in one or more software programs specific to the drafting discipline, enhancing technical skills.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s established practices, procedures, and standards, ensuring work aligns with company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a technical degree program focused on CAD or another relevant field.
• Skills:
  • Detail-oriented approach with a professional attitude.
  • Ability to effectively follow directions and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Basic working knowledge and familiarity with CAD software.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $21 an hour
