What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Produce, edit, and format legal documents and correspondence, including briefs, pleadings, and subpoenas.
• Manage: Oversee attorney calendars and coordinate legal events such as appointments, meetings, depositions, and court dates.
• E-File: Electronically file documents with both the California State Court and Federal Court.
• Support Discovery: Assist with discovery processes, including organizing, tracking documents, drafting responses, and managing deadlines.
• Maintain Records: Keep legal records and case files accurate and current while providing general administrative support to attorneys.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Mid-Senior Level. Comprehensive understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and document preparation, particularly in litigation.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years as a legal secretary, preferably in litigation, with experience in discovery, deposition, and deadline management. This includes proficiency in e-filing with both California State and Federal Courts, and experience with legal software and case management systems.
• Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities; strong written and oral communication for drafting and editing legal correspondence; proficiency in legal transcription; strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively with professionalism.
