Business Risk Control and Regulatory Oversight Early Talent Program
This program offers five unique pathways for interns to gain meaningful work experience and develop expertise in risk control and regulatory oversight. The internship is competitive and may lead to a full-time offer for the 2-year rotational analyst program.
The program encompasses five areas:
• Control Management: Collaborates with and influences front-line business groups by assessing and mitigating operational risk across Wells Fargo. Interns will support one of the 15 Wells Fargo business divisions.
• Enterprise Complaints and Remediation (ECR): Focuses on customer concerns and helps those impacted by operational breakdowns. Includes functions like Enterprise Complaints, Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, and Customer Impact Assessment and Resolution Strategies.
• Regulatory and Policy Affairs (RAPA): Manages Wells Fargo’s regulatory relations, enterprise policy, non-financial regulatory reporting, and consumer practices. Ensures a cohesive approach to regulatory, policy, and governance activities.
• Risk Transformation and Execution: The company’s primary operational risk and control identification and assessment tool. Interns will help to identify and mitigate risks, reduce costs, and ensure consistent execution across the organization.
• Sales Practices and Conduct Management: Focuses on employee misconduct by analyzing trends, sharing insights, and implementing programs to protect Wells Fargo resources and ensure ethical behavior.
Summer Internship Program
• Duration: 10 weeks
• Focus: Provides an overview of Wells Fargo, its operations, business strategies, and corporate culture.
• Experiences: Relationship building, relevant work assignments, coaching, performance feedback sessions, and learning sessions with key leaders.
• Target Audience: Exceptional junior undergraduate students.
• Pipeline Program: Successful interns may be offered full-time analyst positions the following year.
In This Role, You Will:
• Participate in formal internship program initiatives and workshops.
• Review assignments to familiarize yourself with policies and procedures related to low-to-medium risk tasks.
• Receive direction from managers and exercise independent judgment in a matrixed environment.
• Develop an understanding of compliance and risk management requirements.
• Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:
• Data analytics experience (SQL, PowerBI, JIRA, SharePoint, Tableau)
• Experience with Agile methodology
• SIE Certifications
• CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist)
• CRCM (Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager)
• CAFP (Certified AML and Fraud Professional)
Program Details:
• Dates: Summer 2025
• Work Week: 40 hours
• Locations: Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN; New York, NY; Phoenix, AZ; St. Louis, MO.
Required Qualifications:
• 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent (work experience, training, military experience, education).
Desired Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, graduating between December 2025 and May/June 2026.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Involvement in extracurricular activities (volunteerism, student organizations, study abroad, leadership roles, non-profits).
• Degree in Business Administration, Business Intelligence, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Technology, Communication, Accounting, Mathematics, Analytics, Physics, Political Science, Pre-law, Government, Policy and Management, Computer Science, Management and Risk Management or related fields.
• Knowledge of the financial services industry.
• Experience with data manipulation, reporting, visualization, and insights.
Job Expectations:
• Ability to travel 10% or more.
