Job Description: Business Risk Control and Regulatory Oversight Summer Internship
This internship program provides a 10-week overview of Wells Fargo, offering valuable work experience and the chance to learn about the company’s operations, business strategies, and corporate culture.
The program encompasses five unique pathways:
• Control Management: Participants collaborate with front-line business groups to assess and mitigate operational risk across Wells Fargo.
• Enterprise Complaints and Remediation (ECR): This pathway involves supporting teams that address customer concerns, resolve customer impacts from operational breakdowns, and provide executive reporting and strategic communication.
• Regulatory and Policy Affairs (RAPA): Participants contribute to Wells Fargo’s regulatory, policy, and governance activities, ensuring effective communication and coordination with stakeholders.
• Risk Transformation and Execution: This pathway focuses on using the company’s primary operational risk and control identification tool (RCSA) to assess operational, compliance, and model risks.
• Sales Practices and Conduct Management: Participants support the investigation of possible employee misconduct, analyze trends, and protect Wells Fargo resources.
During the internship, you will:
• Participate in formal internship program and workshop initiatives.
• Review assignments to become familiar with policies and procedures related to low-to-medium risk tasks.
• Receive direction from managers and exercise independent judgment while developing an understanding of compliance and risk management requirements.
• Collaborate and consult with colleagues to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Ideal candidates:
• Possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Are energetic self-starters with a genuine interest in learning and growth.
• Possess leadership skills and are comfortable navigating regular feedback and coaching.
• Can work effectively in a fast-paced, highly-collaborative culture, both in person and virtually.
• Have experience in data analytics or Agile methodology (desired).
Program Details:
• Dates: Summer 2025.
• Duration: 10 weeks.
• Hours: 40 hours per week.
• Location: Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN; New York, NY; Phoenix, AZ; St. Louis, MO.
Qualifications:
• Required: 6+ months of work experience (or equivalent).
• Desired: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (graduation between December 2025 – May/June 2026); experience in the financial services industry; demonstrated interest in data and reporting.
Compensation:
• Pay range: $20.00 – $45.00.
