About Wells Fargo and the Business Risk Control and Regulatory Oversight Internship:

This 2025 Summer Internship within the Business Risk Control and Regulatory Oversight team under the Chief Operating Office (COO) offers a unique opportunity to gain meaningful work experience and develop expertise in this crucial area.
The Business Risk Control and Regulatory Oversight Early Talent program provides five distinctive career pathways, allowing participants to choose the path that best aligns with their interests. The internship itself is competitive and may lead to an offer for the company’s 2-year rotational analyst program.
Here’s a breakdown of the five pathways within the program:
• Control Management: This pathway involves collaborating with front-line business groups to assess and mitigate operational risk across Wells Fargo’s 15 business divisions.
• Enterprise Complaints and Remediation (ECR): This pathway focuses on assisting customers who have concerns or have been negatively impacted. It includes addressing customer concerns, providing remediation for operational breakdowns, and providing executive reporting and communication.
• Regulatory and Policy Affairs (RAPA): This pathway focuses on ensuring a comprehensive approach to Wells Fargo’s regulatory, policy, and governance activities. It involves coordinating with stakeholders, managing regulatory relations, and overseeing consumer practices.
• Risk Transformation and Execution: This pathway involves using the company’s primary operational risk and control assessment tool (RCSA) to evaluate operational, compliance, and model risks. It aims to reduce control costs, improve efficiency, and provide assurance during changes or periods of stress.
• Sales Practices and Conduct Management: This pathway focuses on investigating reports of potential employee misconduct across the company. It includes analyzing trends, providing reporting and insights to business partners, and leading programs to protect Wells Fargo resources and ensure ethical conduct.
The Summer Internship Program provides a 10-week overview of Wells Fargo, its operations, business strategies, and corporate culture. The program includes:

The internship is designed to provide undergraduate students with real-world experience in business risk control and regulatory oversight, including:

• Data analytics experience with tools like SQL, PowerBI, JIRA, SharePoint, and Tableau

• CAFP (Certified AML and Fraud Professional)

Required Qualifications:
• 6+ months of work experience (or equivalent)
Desired Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, graduating between December 2025 and May/June 2026
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Involvement in extracurricular activities (volunteerism, student organizations, study abroad, leadership roles, non-profit involvement)
• Major in Business Administration, Business Intelligence, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Technology, Communication, Accounting, Mathematics, Analytics, Physics, Political Science, Pre-law, Government, Policy and Management, Computer Science, Management and Risk Management, or related business field. All majors are welcome.
• Knowledge and/or experience in the financial services industry
• Experience with data manipulation, reporting, data visualization, and data insights
Job Expectations:
• Ability to travel 10% or more of the time
