About the Business Operations Internship:
Vistar Media offers a 9-week summer internship program (June 9th – August 13th), three days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday), in their New York City office. The program provides hands-on experience in the advertising technology landscape. No relocation assistance is provided.
Job Description: Business Operations Intern
As a Business Operations Intern, you will support the Vistar team on various projects focused on data analysis, process improvement, and project coordination. The primary focus will be on identifying and addressing reporting gaps and inefficiencies within specific teams. Responsibilities include:
• Conducting in-depth interviews and workshops: Gathering information directly from internal teams to understand their data and reporting needs.
• Mapping operational workflows and data sources: Analyzing existing processes and data to create a comprehensive understanding of the current information landscape.
• Developing a data collection and storage framework: Creating a foundation for future reporting by designing a system for collecting and organizing data.
• Creating a strategic plan for scalable reporting: Developing a long-term strategy for building a robust and adaptable reporting infrastructure.
• Creating report mockups and prototypes: Developing initial examples of reports to illustrate potential solutions.
Qualifications:
• Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, preferably with a focus on Analytics or a related field.
• Previous internship or part-time work experience in a business environment is preferred.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Tableau) and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
• Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
• A strong desire to learn and achieve results with attention to detail and deadlines is crucial.
Compensation: $16.50/hour. Application deadline: April 9th.
