Job Description: Business Management Associate Internship
This internship provides hands-on experience within Cargill’s Animal Nutrition business. Interns will gain exposure to various aspects of the business and demonstrate their fit within the organization. Specific areas of exposure may include:
• Strategic Pricing: Analyzing market trends and developing pricing strategies.
• Supply Chain: Understanding and optimizing the flow of goods and services.
• Commodity Merchandising: Trading and managing agricultural commodities.
• Feed Formulation: Developing and optimizing animal feed recipes.
• Sourcing: Identifying and securing raw materials.
• Data and Business Analytics: Analyzing data to support business decisions.
• Business Financials: Understanding and managing the financial aspects of the business.
• Employee Engagement: Contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
• Plant Operations: Learning about the manufacturing process.
• Customers and Business Culture: Understanding customer needs and Cargill’s organizational culture.
A significant project, assigned at the start of the internship, will expose interns to diverse work and cross-functional teams. Interns may share accountability for the areas listed above. Successful completion may lead to full-time positions within Cargill Animal Nutrition or other corporate opportunities, potentially involving relocation across the U.S. The internship aims to prepare candidates for future careers, focusing on developing skills to solve global issues. Interns will be involved in a vibrant global community that celebrates diversity, with access to Business Resource Groups (BRGs).
Internship Details:
• Duration: 12 weeks (May/June – August 2025)
• Compensation: $21.90-$25.30/hour (dependent on graduation date and full-time employment eligibility)
• Location: Various U.S. locations (primarily Olathe/Kansas City, KS; Wayzata/Minneapolis, MN; with flexibility for hybrid work)
• Work Arrangement: Majority of the work week will be in the office, with some flexibility for hybrid work arrangements.
• Transportation: Interns are responsible for their own transportation.
• Opportunities: High-performing interns may be offered full-time employment or future internships.
Required Qualifications:
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (not solely based on a student visa or third-party sponsored visa)
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited program (graduating between December 2025 – August 2027) in supply chain, operations, business, sales, finance, agribusiness, business analytics, animal science, economics, ag-economics, leadership studies, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (preferred)
• Geographic flexibility and willingness to relocate for the internship.
• Ability to complete a 12-week summer internship.
• High degree of initiative and resourcefulness.
