Description: Business Management Associate

This is an entry-level position for functional experts within Cargill’s Animal Nutrition business. The role involves a 12-18-month intensive training program focusing on one of the following core functions: Strategic Pricing, Supply Chain, Commodity Merchandising, Feed Formulation, Sourcing, or Data and Business Analytics. The program covers both strategic and tactical business concepts within Cargill’s Animal Nutrition sector.

Responsibilities during the training program include:

• Learning and applying knowledge in areas such as strategic pricing, supply chain strategy and execution, feed formulation, commodity merchandising, trading, risk management, sourcing, data and business analytics, business financials, employee engagement, plant operations, and understanding customer relations and business culture.
• Demonstrating technical skills, business acumen, and leadership potential.

Post-training:

Upon successful completion, associates transition into a position within one of the core functions mentioned above. Career progression can lead to individual contributor roles or supervisory positions within Cargill Animal Nutrition.

Accountabilities:

The position involves learning and positively impacting various aspects of the business, as detailed above.

Internship Locations:

Various U.S. locations including, but not limited to: Kansas City, KS; Amarillo, TX; Shippensburg, PA; Minneapolis, MN. The role will primarily be office-based, but hybrid work arrangements are possible. Travel is estimated at 10% or less.

Required Currently pursuings:

• U.S. work authorization (not based on student or third-party sponsored visa).
• Pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited program (supply chain, operations, business, sales, finance, agribusiness, ag economics, business analytics, animal science, or related field), with graduation between December 2024 and August 2025.
• Willingness and ability to relocate.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and cultures.
• Strong problem-solving skills through collaboration, creativity, and determination.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to understand both the big picture and detailed aspects.
• Ability to take calculated risks and execute decisively.
• Ability to contribute effectively both individually and as part of a team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Currently pursuings:

• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
