Job Description: Business Management Associate

This is an entry-level position for functional experts within Cargill’s Animal Nutrition business. The role involves a 12-18 month intensive training program focusing on one of several core functions:

Strategic Pricing: Developing and implementing pricing strategies.
Supply Chain Strategy & Execution: Managing and optimizing the flow of goods and services.
Feed Formulation: Creating and developing animal feed recipes.
Commodity Merchandising, Trading, Risk Management, and Sourcing: Buying, selling, and managing the risk associated with agricultural commodities.
Data and Business Analytics: Analyzing data to drive business decisions.

The program covers both strategic and tactical business concepts, and associates will be evaluated on technical skills, business acumen, and leadership potential. Successful completion leads to a position within one of the core functions, with potential career paths including individual contributor or supervisory roles.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $70,000 (Note: This is the expected salary and may not be adjusted for geographic location).

Qualifications:

Required:
• Right to work in the U.S. (not based solely on a student or third-party sponsored visa).
• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited program (supply chain, operations, business, sales, finance, agribusiness, ag economics, business analytics, animal science, or related field) with graduation between December 2024 and August 2025.
• Willingness and ability to relocate.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and cultures.
• Problem-solving skills utilizing collaboration, creativity, and determination.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically and handle details.
• Ability to take calculated risks and execute decisively.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
Preferred:
• Minimum GPA of 3.0

Job Locations: Various U.S. locations (Kansas City, KS; Amarillo, TX; Shippensburg, PA; Minneapolis, MN). The role will primarily be office-based, with some flexibility for hybrid work arrangements and approximately 10% or less travel.
