Job Description: Business Leadership Program Internship – Operations BLP Internship
The Business Leadership Program (BLP) Summer Internship at Synchrony is a 10-week paid assignment designed to provide interns with project work that is crucial to the business. Interns are encouraged to challenge existing practices and contribute to driving innovation. The program offers a comprehensive “Synchrony Experience,” including an immersive orientation in Week 1, an Intern Summer Series for networking with leaders, and ongoing support from a dedicated team and mentors.
The Operations BLP Internship specifically targets students interested in starting a career in Operations. Interns will work closely with experts in the function to gain valuable hands-on experience and exposure to various key business areas, including:
• Servicing
• Collections
• Recovery
• Fraud
• Security
• Analytics
• Surveillance
• Customer Solutions
• Technology
• Operational Governance
What You’ll Accomplish:
In this internship, you will:
• Gain critical insight into the customer experience through customer interaction assessments, performance trending and analysis reviews, servicing technology launches, and process improvement initiatives.
• Sharpen analytical skills by developing strategic operational plans, workforce capacity strategies, and cost/benefit assessments.
• Strengthen critical project, process, and people management skills.
• Collaborate with peers in Technology on periodic initiatives and activities.

Basic Qualifications & Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a field of business (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Logistics, Marketing).
• Excellent academic record with a Minimum overall 3.0 GPA.
• Available for 10 consecutive weeks during the Internship (June – August).
• Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
• Must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
• Geographic mobility: Ability to relocate based on program or business direction.
• Participants will receive full relocation benefits (if moving 50 miles or more) and fully furnished housing.
