This is a temporary, part-time internship at John L. Hunter & Associates, primarily remote with required in-person office work and field meetings in the Greater Los Angeles area. John L. Hunter & Associates (JLHA) is a premier environmental consulting firm that specializes in assisting government agencies with surface water quality and conservation programs. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth daily operations of the firm, providing essential support to the office administration staff. The intern will gain foundational insights into the operational mechanics of a successful consulting firm, from billing cycles to data management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoicing & Expense Management: Assist with the preparation and processing of monthly invoices and expense reports, ensuring accurate tracking of costs and financial data entry.
• Client Data Management: Maintain company databases and client records to ensure all information is current and easily accessible for management.
• General Administrative Support: Provide essential office support, including filing, managing correspondence, and organizing project documentation.
• Operational Efficiency: Contribute to resolving minor business issues and assist in implementing improvements to administrative procedures.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current student or recent graduate in Business Administration or a related major.
• Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs and Google Suite is required.
• Skills: Highly detail-oriented, organized, strong written communication, strong verbal communication, accuracy in data entry and invoicing.
