Job Description
• Job Title: Business Intelligence Internship
• Program: USL Work Experience Program
• Term: Fall 2025
• Location: Remote (requires access to a computer/laptop with reliable internet connection)

Job Summary:
This internship provides an opportunity to assist the USL Technology & Data Strategy team. The role focuses on data analytics, maintaining and building dashboards, and generating actionable insights from data to support critical business decisions across various league operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the routine collection of data and the updating of existing Tableau dashboards.
• Develop new Tableau dashboards to monitor and track performance against key metrics, league goals, and initiatives.
• Identify and propose new procedures for data collection processes and/or data reporting to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Translate data from crucial revenue-driving areas, such as ticketing, corporate partnerships, and consumer products, into focused analyses. Provide insights and recommendations to key organizational stakeholders to facilitate actionable business decisions.
• Generate novel analyses of match performance data, leveraging partnerships with Stats Perform and Spiideo, to uncover potential commercial value.
• Fulfill ad-hoc data requests, including building reports, visualizations, executive dashboards, and presentations.
• Perform quality assurance on dashboards and reports to ensure correct functionality and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Support other departments and operational areas as requested, offering a comprehensive overview of working in the sports industry.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, and/or undertaking relevant training.
• Must be able to receive college course credit from an accredited college or university for participation in the program.
• Solid computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Possession of a positive attitude and strong work ethic, with a “team-first” mentality and an eagerness to learn.
• Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and consistency in work.
• For remote participation, candidates must have access to a computer or laptop with a reliable internet connection.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization software.
• Familiarity with SQL or other programming languages.
