About The Role: Business Intelligence Intern

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Intelligence Intern to play a crucial role in our transition from Stratum to Power BI. This position offers a unique opportunity for hands-on, project-based experience in a fast-paced environment. You will be instrumental in developing, designing, and maintaining insightful dashboards and reports that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate directly with business stakeholders, gaining valuable experience in understanding reporting needs, building intuitive data visualizations, and supporting user adoption through comprehensive training and documentation.

Key Responsibilities: What You’ll Do

• Develop, design, and maintain new dashboards and reports in Power BI, actively supporting our strategic transition from existing Stratum reporting systems.
• Partner directly with business stakeholders to meticulously understand their data requirements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and how users interact with reports to ensure solutions are user-centric and impactful.
• Recreate existing Stratum reports and use cases within the Power BI environment, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and enhanced visualization.
• Provide support for ad hoc reporting and data analysis requests as needed, demonstrating responsiveness and flexibility.
• Analyze and validate data thoroughly to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of all reports and underlying datasets.
• Assist with the successful rollout and adoption of new reports by creating clear, concise training materials and actively supporting user training sessions.
• Contribute to streamlining reporting processes by enabling real-time, centralized, and easily accessible data insights for all relevant stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Demonstrably strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to dissect complex data and identify actionable insights.
• A genuine interest and foundational understanding of data visualization, reporting methodologies, and the broader field of business intelligence.
• Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or similar reporting and database tools is a significant plus, showcasing a head start in technical proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to translate complex technical concepts and data findings into clear, understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working extensively with various data sets and demonstrating a strong capability for collaborating effectively across diverse teams.
