Business Intelligence Analyst | MidFirst Bank

The Tone:
This is a full-time role within Midland Mortgage, a division of MidFirst Bank, located in Oklahoma City. MidFirst Bank’s Midland Mortgage division supports strategic and operational functions for the company. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy, availability, and effective use of data in reporting to support overall business objectives.

• Team: Within Midland Mortgage, a division of MidFirst Bank, in the Strategy and Operational Support group.
• Mission: To create, document, and maintain vital data links between access databases and the data warehouse, ensuring accurate and available data for business reporting and insights.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft SQL Server, Access SQL, Microsoft Access, Asana (exposure), Clarizen (exposure)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Linking: Create, document, and maintain essential links between access databases and the central data warehouse.
• Data Communication: Communicate directly with business unit stakeholders and corporate technology database administrators to ensure data accuracy and availability for reporting purposes.
• Schema Design: Design and document new data warehouse tables and data schema based on business reporting requirements and available operational data sources.
• Reporting Support: Support the development and maintenance of reports and workflows by utilizing existing Data Warehouse solutions and establishing new data sources.
• Process Improvement: Drive improvements to ineffective or inefficient data processes, share best practices, and perform ad hoc data pulls to meet reporting requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another business-related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0, or 5-7 years of commensurate experience in lieu of a specific degree or GPA. Must reside in Oklahoma.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant US-based experience is required, including working with Microsoft SQL Server, Access SQL, and Microsoft Access.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and critical-thinking abilities. Demonstrated knowledge of BI and reporting concepts and analysis techniques, alongside general principles of data warehouse environments and enterprise BI tools. Exceptional attention to detail and time management, coupled with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skills and the ability to turn complex concepts into understandable content for non-technical users. Ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Bonus: Exposure to managing large amounts of data from various sources, and familiarity with project management tools such as Asana or Clarizen.
