Business Insight Analyst Intern
Acosta is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Insight Analyst Intern to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in leveraging data to drive strategic business decisions within sales, marketing, and other operational areas. As an intern, you will contribute to critical analysis, reporting, and evaluation processes, helping to interpret market insights and industry trends.
Our Business Insight Analysts are specialists who develop deep knowledge about specific categories, competitors, and the broader industry landscape. While this internship is an entry-level position, it provides a foundational experience in managing and evaluating both quantitative and qualitative data to support organizational strategy.
About the Role
Responsibilities for Intern:
- Support Client, Departmental, or Category Strategies: Engage in relationship management with vendors and assist in data collection and analysis to gather information that drives profitable sales.
- Foster Achievement of Client Strategies: Work with teams to ensure the successful implementation and achievement of client strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct Category Analysis: Be responsible for all aspects of analysis for assigned categories, providing insights that support the achievement of brand strategies.
- Assist with Strategic Planning: Contribute to key decisions related to shelf presentation, assortment choices, promotional planning, and the development of new products and programs.
Working Conditions:
This role requires a minimum of three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in an office environment at our corporate HQ in Lewisville, TX. Minimal travel may be required to offsite locations, such as a retailer, for role enhancement.

Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Candidates must be at least a sophomore currently enrolled in a college degree program, with some college courses preferred in marketing, sales, and/or business administration.
Experience:
No prior experience is required, but professional work experience is highly recommended.
