Business Finance Intern | American Tower
The Tone:
This is an internship at American Tower, located in Boston, MA (Hybrid). This role is crucial for documenting current finance processes, exploring automation, and supporting core FP&A activities, which directly informs business decision-making and operational efficiency within a global context.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Documentation: Document current global FP&A processes, encompassing planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and allocation activities.
• Financial Analysis: Gain an understanding of annual planning, budget development, and forecast update activities through data collection and analysis.
• Automation Exploration: Support the exploration and documentation of potential AI and automation use cases within FP&A.
• Reporting Support: Partner with FP&A team members to gather inputs and catalog existing reporting needs globally.
• Pricing Review: Review and document the pricing rate update process, including key inputs, assumptions, and controls.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: Strong interest in FP&A, financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; strong attention to detail; analytical mindset with the ability to understand financial data and workflows; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
