Business Development Representative | RevPilots

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Washington, DC, for RevPilots’ client, a global decision intelligence company. This company utilizes proprietary high-frequency data and applied artificial intelligence to help modern leaders make smarter, faster decisions. As an entry-level Business Development Representative, you will be instrumental in generating revenue through pipeline development for SaaS offerings and fostering key client relationships.

• Team: Part of the Commercial division, reporting to leadership within the Business Development team.
• Mission: Generate new business pipeline through prospecting, inbound lead management, and relationship building for SaaS offerings.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Generation: Develop and execute a lead generation plan to meet or exceed quota targets, generating new business pipeline through outbound prospecting and managing inbound leads.
• Pipeline Cultivation: Act on field marketing leads, conduct strategic outbound campaigns, nurture early-stage opportunities, and gain interest through outbound cold calling.
• Client Advocacy: Partner closely with Account Executives to move qualified prospects through the sales cycle, discover business initiatives, and advocate for clients internally.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work with sales and marketing teams to prioritize efforts, refine selling strategies, share results, and plan next steps.
• Skill Development: Participate in onboarding, training sessions, team meetings, and professional development classes to continuously build your sales skills.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Psychology, Communications, Business, or similar is preferred. Excellent academic record.
• Experience: Prior sales or marketing internship experience. Strong record of leadership in an academic, professional, or extracurricular setting.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build credibility and trust. Exemplary problem-solving skills and resourcefulness. Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bonus: Experience in prospecting, account planning, and cold calling both new and existing accounts is preferred. Long-term interest in a client-facing sales career, with a competitive spirit and a drive for results.
