Job Description: Business Development Intern
Your Role: You will be responsible for understanding and delivering on WhiteLab’s growth objectives, working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders (biotech and pharmaceutical companies, top-tier academics).
Key Responsibilities:
• Market Research & Analysis: Research and report on the current landscape to identify relevant competitors, partners, clients, and external growth opportunities in the field of genomic therapies.
• Business Development & Prospecting: Participate in business development and prospecting activities for the commercialization of WhiteLab’s capabilities (e.g., customer discovery, market research).
• Partner & Customer Relationship Building: Identify and build relationships/leads with potential new partners and/or customers.
• CRM Management: Maintain WhiteLab’s customer relationship management system with companies, contacts, and deals, generating insights from their network and deal flows.
• Deal Negotiation & Closure: Participate with senior executives and management from prospecting to closing deals to negotiation.
• Material Preparation: Prepare WhiteLab’s materials for internal decision meetings and external presentations in coordination with the marketing team.
• Opportunity Identification: Elevate WhiteLab’s awareness of new growth opportunities (e.g., identification of relevant grants).
• Business Event & Conference Management: Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of business events and conferences, from pre-event set-up to dynamic meeting preparation and post-event follow-up.

Preferred Experience:
• Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Biology/(Bio)chemical Engineering/Computational Science/Business or a similar degree with a demonstrated passion or experience for business.
• Experience: Hands-on experience, specialized expertise, or a deep enthusiasm for driving advancements in drug discovery and development, preferably with a focus in Biotech, Deeptech, and genomic therapies.
• Skills: Strong task prioritization & organization skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to thrive independently in a bustling scientific environment.

• Final On-Site Interview: This can include various formats such as lunch meetings, a day-in-the-life experience, user case presentations, etc., depending on the situation.
