Job Description
CDH, PC is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Business Advisory Services Intern. This intern will join their Business Advisory Services (BAS) team and be responsible for the day-to-day activities as instructed by their supervisor.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Working directly with financial statements, performing general ledger maintenance, and conducting bank reconciliations.
• Assisting with the compilation of balance sheets and income statements.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive client financial transaction records.
• Compiling various financial reports for client management, such as cash revenue and expenditure analysis, and managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Providing assistance to clients with their month-end closings.
• Maintaining accurate records for cash, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Managing inventory ledgers and undertaking other full-scale bookkeeping responsibilities.
• Thoroughly checking figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding.
• Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Performing complex financial calculations, including amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, equity, and principal.
• Demonstrating knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, understanding the financial markets, banking, and possessing skills in the analysis and reporting of financial data.
• Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
• Candidates must be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a related field.
• Applicants must have the ability and willingness to travel to clients within the Firm’s market area.
