The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law is a nonpartisan law and policy institute dedicated to improving democracy and justice in the United States. It addresses issues ranging from voting rights and campaign finance reform to ending mass incarceration and preserving constitutional protections. Job Description:

The Brennan Center for Justice is seeking interns to join its Communications department on the Brennan en Español (BEE) team. This is an in-person internship at their New York office.

Responsibilities:

• Providing general research and administrative support to the Brennan Center staff, including coordinating meetings and drafting routine correspondence.
• Assisting the BEE team with research for various projects, including the team’s newsletter.
• Writing social media messaging and assisting with social media posting.
• Contributing to video creation for social media platforms, including script writing, editing, and recording (on-camera experience is a plus).
• Monitoring Spanish-language and Latino press coverage, as well as announcements and events by Latino organizations.

Qualifications:

• Independent self-starter, detail-oriented, energetic, punctual, and highly organized.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Passion for the issues the Brennan Center addresses.
• Experience with Windows, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Database experience is helpful.
• Openness to evolving responsibilities.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
Must be a current undergraduate student.

Additional Information:

Hours: Approximately 10 – 20 hours per week.
Pay: $17.50 per hour.
Duration: September – December 2025.
