The Tone:
This is a direct hire role with CV Resources’ client, a small, family-owned consumer products company located in North Hills, California. The position is initially remote, with an expected transition to a hybrid schedule (2-3 days/week onsite). The company operates an asset-light model, maintaining ownership of patents and proprietary designs while outsourcing manufacturing and fulfillment. This critical role involves bringing day-to-day accounting operations in-house, managing full-cycle bookkeeping to ensure accurate and timely financial records for the business.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $70000–$75000 yearly
• Team: Reports to the Business Manager.
• Mission: Own full-cycle bookkeeping to manage day-to-day transactions and ensure accurate, timely financial records in partnership with an outsourced CPA firm.
• Tech Stack: QuickBooks Online, Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable: Process full-cycle accounts payable, including vendor invoices, coding, and payment runs.
• Accounts Receivable: Manage accounts receivable activities such as customer invoicing, collections, and cash application.
• General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries, accruals, and performing reconciliations, also assisting with variance analysis.
• Month-End Close: Support month-end close procedures, including performing account reconciliations and preparing necessary supporting schedules.
• Payroll Management: Process bi-weekly payroll for five employees through QuickBooks Online and maintain accurate payroll records in compliance with regulations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting plus 1+ year of accounting experience, OR 3–5 years of accounting experience if no degree.
• Experience: Hands-on experience with full-cycle accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, month-end close, and payroll processing.
• Skills: Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, including processing payroll, and advanced Excel skills such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Bonus: Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), e-commerce, retail, or big box retail environments.
