What You’ll Actually Do
• Record: Record and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring data is accurate and up-to-date within accounting software.
• Maintain: Maintain general ledgers to ensure proper financial oversight.
• Prepare: Prepare and review basic financial reports for internal use.
• Document: Ensure all journal entries are properly documented, adhering to company policies.
• Collaborate: Work with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, respond to inquiries, and assist with month-end close activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, coupled with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Experience: Proven ability to maintain accurate financial records and ledgers, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing basic financial reports. This includes managing multiple tasks and deadlines, and the capacity to work independently in a remote environment.
• Skills: Bookkeeping, Journal Entries (Accounting), Financial Statements preparation, Accounting Software proficiency, Numerical Aptitude, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective written and verbal communication.
• Bonus: Prior experience within the retail or grocery industry.
