BIM Design Summer Intern 2025 – Structural
KPFF Los Angeles & Orange County Structural is seeking enthusiastic and curious individuals for our Summer 2025 BIM Design Internship program. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) within the structural engineering field, enhancing your skills in digital modeling, coordination, and project management in a great work environment.

Compensation
This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $23.00 per hour. All overtime hours are paid at time and a half of the hourly rate.
Work Schedule & Location
- Full-time: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Location: Initially in our Irvine Office.
- Hybrid Opportunity: After a successful training period, remote work one day per week (typically Fridays) may be available, shifting to a 4-day in-office, 1-day remote schedule.
- Internship Duration: Must be available for a minimum of 10 weeks between mid-May and mid-September 2025.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Completed High School + coursework towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Completed Course in Revit Required – transcripts must be provided.
- Good written & verbal communication skills.
- Must be available to work 40 hours per week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday in our Irvine Office for the training period.
- Must be available for a minimum of 10 weeks between mid-May and mid-September 2025.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Courses completed in a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Coordinator certification program are highly preferred.
- Individuals interested in a career in Building Information Modeling (BIM) are highly preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Duties are primarily performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
- Requires the ability to actively engage with a computer for several hours per day.
- May occasionally need to lift items up to 15 lbs.
- In-person attendance, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, at our Irvine office is required during the initial training period.
- Following a satisfactory training period, a hybrid schedule of 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday) in the office, and Fridays from home may be accommodated.
