What You’ll Actually Do
• Activity Facilitation: Conduct planned activities for the before and after school care on-site program.
• Safety Assurance: Ensure the program environment remains safe for all participating children.
• Program Enrichment: Provide enriching experiences for school-age children within the program.
• Group Supervision: Oversee and supervise school-age children effectively in a group setting.
• Compliance & Quality: Maintain the quality and standards of the care program consistent with district guidelines.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional with a standard high school diploma or GED, and a foundational understanding of working with school-age children.
• Experience: Must be 18 years of age or older with any volunteer work, experience, or training in group supervision of school-age children. Completion of specific child care certifications (BASCC Comprehensive Child Care Components I & II OR Florida Department of Children and Families modules: SNP, UDAP, and SAP) is required within the first year of employment, with 10 hours of approved BASCC Child Care training annually thereafter.
• Skills: Proficient in basic computer skills as needed for the position, with proven abilities in child supervision and activity facilitation.
