What You’ll Actually Do
• Case File Management: Manage all aspects of case files for bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
• Docket & Deadline Monitoring: Monitor court dockets and critical deadlines to ensure timely compliance.
• Document Drafting: Draft various bankruptcy filings, including pleadings, proofs of claim, and other court submissions.
• Fee Application Preparation: Prepare comprehensive fee applications accurately.
• Litigation Support: Conduct legal research and provide essential support for trials and hearings.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Mid-Career professional with 3+ years of law firm experience focused on restructuring and bankruptcy matters, demonstrating strong core domain knowledge of bankruptcy procedures, CM/ECF filings, and court rules.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience specifically preparing pleadings, proofs of claim, fee applications, and various court filings within a legal firm environment.
• Skills: Proficiency with Westlaw, LexisNexis, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat; excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities; capability to work independently.
• Bonus: Notary certification.
