Your Role: Backend Semiconductor Test Equipment Co-op/Intern

This role offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and improvement of backend semiconductor test equipment. You will gain valuable experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working closely with experienced engineers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair of backend semiconductor test equipment.
  • Experiment Design: Develop and execute experiments to commission and validate equipment performance.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve complex technical failures using structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Process Improvement: Implement Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Data Integration: Support the integration of Statistical Process Control (SPC) to collect and analyze manufacturing data.
  • CAD Documentation: Create CAD drawings, Preventative Maintenance (PM) documents, and other essential technical documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Internship Duration:

  • 6-month Co-op preferred.
  • Open to 12-week summer internships.

Your Profile

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented students eager to learn and contribute to a leading semiconductor company.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Actively pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Material Science. Ideally completing coursework within 1 year.
  • Problem Solving: Detail-oriented with strong rational thinking skills to solve complex technical issues.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to changes in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Tools:
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
    • Familiarity with Minitab and Tableau is desirable.
  • Organizational Skills: Capable of effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to draw meaningful conclusions from gathered and structured data.
  • US Citizenship/Green Card: This position requires access to documentation controlled by US export laws. Candidates must provide proof of US citizenship, Permanent US residency, or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8USC 1324b(a)(3).

Wage Range:

  • Minimum: $19.00 per hour
  • Maximum: $32.00 per hour
  • Hourly rate will be determined by the highest level of education completed.
