Automation Engineer
Location: Hercules, CA
Job Summary:
The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions for Bio-Rad’s manufacturing processes. This role will work closely with other engineers, scientists, and manufacturing personnel to identify automation opportunities, develop and validate automated systems, and ensure the smooth implementation and operation of these systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identify and evaluate automation opportunities within Bio-Rad’s manufacturing processes
• Develop and design automated solutions using a variety of technologies, including robotics, machine vision, and software
• Validate and test automated systems to ensure they meet performance and quality requirements
• Implement and deploy automated systems into production environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated systems
• Work closely with other engineers, scientists, and manufacturing personnel to ensure the smooth integration of automated systems into existing processes
• Stay abreast of the latest automation technologies and trends
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, with a focus on manufacturing applications
• Strong knowledge of robotics, machine vision, and software development
• Experience with project management and system validation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
