About the Job:

The Audit Winter 2027 Internship is an exciting career opportunity based in Dallas, TX, running from January to March 2027. This is a hybrid position, where interns are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in creating opportunities for in-person collaboration, with a general encouragement to be in the office/together an average of three days a week.

Your Team:

Engagement Team: Interns will work closely with a diverse team including other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners.
Industries: Interns will gain exposure to a variety of clients across industries such such as Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (industry exposure may vary by office).
Office Environment: The Dallas office provides modern amenities, collaborative spaces, and private offices.
Support System: Each intern will be assigned a Performance Coach to help establish goals, provide feedback, and support career development, as well as a CR Friend to offer a familiar face and ongoing support within the firm.

Your Role (Key Responsibilities):

As an Audit Winter Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Becoming familiar with accounting and auditing procedures.
• Performing procedures accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner, in accordance with firm standards.
• Working on various aspects of an audit engagement, including:
• Cash procedures.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Accounts payable.
• Searching for unrecorded liabilities.
• Maintaining confirmation logs.
• Preparing audit work papers.
• Assisting with audits, reviews, compilations, and accounting services.
• Participating in resolving audit issues by obtaining evidence and making inquiries of clients, while also assisting the team with daily client workflow.

Your Experience (Qualifications and Desired Attributes):

Successful candidates will have:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• A plan to complete 150 credit hours between May 2027 and September 2028 to meet CPA licensing requirements.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA in both their major and overall.
• Successful completion of two accounting courses prior to the start of the internship.
• Demonstrated leadership positions in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or on team projects.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• The ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Work Authorization: Applicants must provide proof of work authorization such as U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status, as CohnReznick does not offer sponsorship for foreign nationals for entry-level roles or internships.
