Job Description, Detailed

Job Title: Audit Winter 2026 Internship

Location: Sunrise, FL. This is a hybrid position, meaning team members are expected to work in-office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

Duration: January to March 2026. The exact end date may vary by office/team.

Role Summary:
As an Audit Winter Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by becoming familiar with accounting and auditing procedures and performing these procedures in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner, in accordance with firm standards.

Engagement Team: You will work collaboratively with a diverse team including other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners.
Industries Served: The firm serves a wide array of industries, including Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (client industries may vary by office).
Office Environment: The Sunrise office provides amenities, collaborative spaces, and private offices.
Performance Coach: A dedicated coach will help you establish goals, provide feedback, and offer support to guide your career path. Many current Senior Managers and Partners began as Associates at CohnReznick.
CR Friend: A designated contact person to help you acclimate to the firm and provide ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work on various aspects of an audit engagement, including:
• Handling cash and bank reconciliations.
• Managing accounts payable.
• Searching for unrecorded liabilities.
• Maintaining confirmation logs.
• Preparing audit work papers.
• Assist with audits, reviews, compilations, and accounting services.
• Participate in resolving audit issues by obtaining evidence and making inquiries of clients.
• Assist the team with daily client workflow.

Required Experience and Qualifications:
The firm seeks highly dedicated students who are driven by new challenges, value growth opportunities, and are team players committed to world-class client service and community involvement.
Education: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
CPA Track: Plan to complete 150 credit hours between December 2026 and September 2027 to be eligible for CPA licensure.
GPA: A minimum 3.0 GPA in both your major and overall coursework.
Coursework: Successful completion of two accounting courses prior to the start of the internship.
Leadership Experience: Demonstrated leadership in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or on team projects.
Prior Experience: Prior work or internship experience is a plus.
Skills:
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Work Authorization: Successful candidates must provide proof of work authorization such as U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status.
