The Tone:
This is a summer internship at CohnReznick, located in San Diego, CA, operating under a hybrid work model where team members are encouraged to be in the office approximately three days a week. • Mission: Support audit teams by gaining hands-on experience with accounting and auditing practices.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engagement Management: Work on various aspects of an audit engagement, including conducting cash verification, preparing bank reconciliations, managing accounts payable, searching for unrecorded liabilities, maintaining confirmation logs, and accurately preparing audit work papers.
• Service Delivery: Assist effectively with audits, financial reviews, compilations, and a range of accounting services for diverse clients.
• Issue Resolution: Participate in resolving audit issues by obtaining necessary evidence and making inquiries of clients, contributing to the daily workflow of the audit team.
• Skill Development: Collaborate with other interns and professionals on hands-on projects, specifically designed to build real-world accounting and auditing skills and expand your professional network within the industry.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience: On track to complete 150 credit hours required for CPA eligibility, having successfully completed Intermediate Accounting with a grade of B or higher, and maintaining a minimum 3.2 GPA in both your major and overall academic performance.
• Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication skills and sharp critical thinking abilities, comfort in navigating fast-paced environments and embracing change, and advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Exhibit leadership experience through active participation in student groups, campus activities, or team projects.
