We are excited to announce an exceptional career opportunity for Summer 2027 (June-August) in our Sacramento office. We are actively seeking Audit Summer Interns to join our dynamic team!

CohnReznick operates as a hybrid firm, expecting most professionals to reside within a commutable distance of one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid, emphasizing thoughtful and intentional in-person collaboration. While the specific in-office cadence is team-determined, professionals are encouraged to be in the office or together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR TEAM.

  • Engagement Team: You will collaborate closely with a diverse team comprising other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners.
  • Industries: Gain exposure to a wide array of clients across various industries, which may include Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (industry exposure varies by office).
  • Office: Our CohnReznick office provides modern amenities and collaborative workspaces.
  • Performance Coach: A dedicated Performance Coach will work with you to establish goals, provide constructive feedback, and offer support to guide your chosen career path. Many of our current Senior Managers and Partners began their careers as CR Associates.
  • CR Friend: A CR Friend will serve as a familiar face, offering a warm welcome and a reliable contact for any questions or support you may need as you onboard and throughout your internship.

YOUR ROLE.

As an Audit Summer Intern, you will immerse yourself in accounting and auditing procedures, learning to perform them accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner, in strict accordance with firm standards.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

  • Work across various aspects of an audit engagement, including cash reconciliation, bank reconciliations, accounts payable analysis, searching for unrecorded liabilities, maintaining confirmation logs, and preparing audit work papers.
  • Assist with audits, reviews, compilations, and a range of accounting services.
  • Participate in resolving audit issues by effectively obtaining evidence and making inquiries of clients, while actively supporting the team with daily client workflow.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
  • Plan to complete 150 credit hours between May 2028 – September 2029 in order to be CPA licensed.
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA in both your major and overall academic record.
  • Successful completion of at least two accounting courses prior to the start of your internship.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or on team projects.
  • Prior work or internship experience is a plus, but not strictly required.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Able to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
