Job Description: Audit Summer 2026 Internship – Bethesda, MD
This is an exciting career opportunity for an Audit Summer Intern at CohnReznick’s Bethesda, MD office, for the period of June to August 2026.
Work Model:
The position is hybrid, meaning team members are expected to create opportunities for in-person collaboration, with professionals encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.
Your Team:
Interns will work within an Engagement Team alongside other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. They will be assigned a Performance Coach for goal setting, feedback, and career guidance, and a CR Friend as a familiar point of contact.

Your Role & Responsibilities:
As an Audit Summer Intern, you will be responsible for familiarizing yourself with accounting and auditing procedures and performing these procedures accurately, thoroughly, and timely in accordance with firm standards. Key responsibilities include:
• Working on various aspects of an audit engagement, such as cash, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, searching for unrecorded liabilities, maintaining confirmation logs, and preparing audit work papers.
• Assisting with audits, reviews, compilations, and accounting services.
• Participating in resolving audit issues by obtaining evidence and making client inquiries, while supporting the team with daily client workflow.
Your Experience & Qualifications:

• Education: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA Track: Plan to complete 150 credit hours between May 2026 – September 2027 to qualify for CPA licensure.
• Academic Standing: A minimum 3.0 GPA in both your major and overall.
• Coursework: Successful completion of two accounting courses prior to the start of the internship.
• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership positions in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or on team projects.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Adaptability: Able to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Skills: Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Work Authorization: Proof of work authorization such as U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status. CohnReznick does not offer sponsorship to foreign nationals for Entry Level Roles (new associates and interns).
• Desired (Plus): Prior work or internship experience.
Salary:
The salary for an Audit Internship in Maryland is $34 per hour. This is part of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which also includes access to best-in-class learning and development platforms.
