Audit Staff Intern
Overview:
Cedar Fair Entertainment Company is offering a highly visible summer internship for Audit Staff Interns at their Cedar Point location. This internship provides an exceptional opportunity to gain practical audit, accounting, and business experience in a fun and professional environment.
Responsibilities:
• Perform Sarbanes Oxley audits under the guidance of a Corporate Internal Audit Manager
• Conduct audits on controls over various areas, including revenue, cash receipts, accounting, computer systems, payroll, purchasing, expenditures, and inventory
• Write audit conclusions and recommendations for improvements to controls and procedures
Qualifications:
• Accounting major in sophomore year or above
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work professionally with and without supervision
• Willingness to work approximately 40-45 hours per week over 5 days
• Availability for the internship between May and August
• Preferred completion of two accounting courses prior to the summer internship
• Preferred enrollment or completion of at least one accounting course prior to the interview
