Summer 2027 Internship – Audit | Ally
The Tone:
This is a temporary, 11-week internship at Ally, located in a hybrid setup with a mix of in-office and remote working days, likely based out of Charlotte, NC. Ally Financial is a customer-centric digital financial services company, dedicated to making banking smarter and simpler for its customers. The Audit intern plays a crucial role in supporting Ally’s success by providing insights that help leaders make smart, strategic decisions. This position contributes to assessing how well the company manages risk, governance, and internal controls, functions critical for smooth business operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engage in hands-on and project-based work within the Audit function to support Ally’s success.
• Participate in structured development opportunities, including orientation, executive speaking series, and learning sessions as part of an intern cohort.
• Build professional networks and receive mentorship through formal group programs and peer interactions.
• Provide insights by assessing risk, governance, and internal controls to aid strategic decision-making.
• Deliver an end-of-assignment presentation summarizing project work and key learnings at the conclusion of the internship program.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree, with an expected graduation between December 2027 and May 2029. Open to all majors.
• Experience: 0+ years of professional experience.
• Skills: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Demonstrated problem-solving, initiative, and learning agility. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and experience managing deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
• Bonus: Previous internship experience or relevant project work. Extracurricular activities or leadership experience. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Interest in learning about business operations, risk, and internal controls.
