Job Description: Audit Intern/Trainee

As an intern or trainee, you’ll be part of a team addressing complex business challenges, from strategic planning to execution. The role involves supporting various phases of financial statement audits and specific projects. Responsibilities include:

Supporting Financial Statement Audits: Contributing to select phases of the audit process.
Project Support: Participating in projects, showcasing creative thinking and initiative within a team environment.
Teamwork & Relationship Building: Collaborating effectively with team members and fostering strong working relationships.
Seeking Guidance: Proactively seeking feedback and clarification from senior team members.
Task Prioritization: Demonstrating flexibility in managing and prioritizing tasks while maintaining professional skepticism.

Job Requirements and Preferences:

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, minimum 3.0 GPA.
Preferred Qualifications: Typically, third-year students in a four-year program or fourth-year students in a five-year program, applying for internships during winter/spring or summer before graduation. Meeting educational requirements for relevant professional credentials (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Interest in auditing and public accounting, basic knowledge of financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting; ability to research and analyze client, industry, and technical matters; problem-solving skills; strong communication skills (written and verbal); self-motivation and commitment to personal development.

Compensation and Benefits: The salary range is $30.75 – $40.75 (Maryland-based roles). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid holidays, and vacation time. (Note: Salary and benefits may vary by location).
