This role is instrumental in supporting the efficient execution of financial statement audits and assurance services, allowing you to build a foundational understanding of accounting principles. As an Audit Intern, you will directly contribute to delivering high-quality service while gaining exposure to clients’ accounting practices, risk areas, and compliance requirements.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: Hybrid – San Ramon, CA
• Pay: $24–$30 hourly
• Team: Audit department, working alongside senior team members
• Mission: Assist in the efficient execution of audit engagements and build foundational understanding of accounting principles.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Execution: Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements under the guidance of senior team members.
• Testing: Conduct substantive testing and analytical procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Documentation: Prepare financial statements, internal controls, and other relevant documentation.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive recommendations.
• Support: Prepare workpapers and documentation to support audit findings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position for students enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major or emphasis in Accounting. Expected completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting between December 2027 and June 2028, with eligibility to pursue a CA CPA.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is required, with a focus on learning from experienced team members.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities; Effective interpersonal skills for collaborative work; Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills; High motivation to learn and produce high-quality work.
• Bonus: Minimum accounting GPA of 3.0 preferred.
