Audit Internship – Summer 2028 | Wipfli

• Mission: Perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures to support client engagements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform: Execute audit, review, and compliance testing procedures in accordance with firm and professional standards, as directed by engagement leaders.
• Communicate: Respond to client and firm associate requests and inquiries in a timely, accurate, positive, and professional manner, gathering necessary information for document completion.
• Analyze: Utilize data analysis skills to discover useful information and patterns, providing support for recommendations.
• Prepare: Develop and review financial statements and footnotes, management reports, and other engagement outputs.
• Improve: Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency within engagements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, having completed a corporate or individual taxation class.
• Experience: Demonstrated above-average knowledge in accounting, preferably with a 3.0 GPA or higher, and actively working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to think independently and make sound decisions, and capacity to prioritize work, follow through on requests, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
• Bonus: Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data.
